Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of the Republic Day. This was reported by the press service of the head of Belarus.

"During the years of independence, your country has certainly achieved considerable success in all spheres of state building, confidently moves on the path of progress and modernization, playing an important role in maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world," the congratulation reads.

"I remember with great pleasure our meaningful meeting in Astana in July of this year, I am ready to continue bilateral contacts and will gratefully take advantage of your invitation to make an official visit to Turkey," the president emphasized.

According to him, Minsk and Ankara are connected by many interesting projects in various fields, from trade and investments to the humanitarian sector.
