Iran has announced that the country is open to cooperation with the West

Iran is ready to start dialogue with Western countries. This was announced by Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser to the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"The Islamic Republic is open to cooperation with any Western power that seeks sincere relations with Iran, respects Iran's sovereignty and talks to us as equals," Velayati said in an interview with the British Financial Times newspaper.

The publication clarifies that such a statement was made by the Iranian leader's adviser on October 27, the day after Israel's attack on the Islamic Republic.
