Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan were present at the "Armenian Prime Minister's Cup" cross-country running tournament (photos)

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with his wife Anna Hakobyan attended the awarding ceremony of the final round of the "Armenian Prime Minister's Cup" amateur marathon tournament in Etchmiadzin. Three age groups of athletes of different age groups took part in the tournament, which was held for the fourth time. 1st age group 2007-2011. 2nd age group: women and men aged 18-40 (2006-1984), 3rd age group: women and men aged 41 and older (born in 1983 and older). The group of active athletes has no age limit.
Nikol Pashinyan awarded the participants who took the first to third places in the competition of men aged 18-40. The Prime Minister also handed over symbolic gifts and certificates to the oldest participants of the tournament. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized once again that the goal of the "RA Prime Minister's Cup" tournament is to contribute to the popularization of a healthy lifestyle in the republic, as well as to ensure the promotion of physical education and sports among the population. The head of the government noted that the purpose of the tournaments is also to change the attitude of the citizens towards sports, because usually most of the citizens in Armenia perceive sports as something far from them, as an event beyond the TV screens. "We want physical education and sports to become an integral part of our lives and routines."
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of schoolchildren's participation in the marathon and thanked the teachers for their work. "This is a kind of review for our schools and teachers as well. We see that there are teachers who are achieving success, and we also want to say words of appreciation to our teachers and schools."
