Azerbaijan invited Armenia to participate in COP29

An invitation was sent to the Armenian side to participate in COP29. Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy, Chief Executive Officer of COP29 for Azerbaijan, said this in an interview with APA.

"The invitation has been sent to the Armenian side, we are ready to receive guests at all levels," emphasized Soltanov.

The General Director also commented on the opinion of Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan that "Armenia is committed to signing a peace agreement with Azerbaijan before COP29, which will take place in Baku in November."

Elnur Soltanov noted that no country should use COP29 for its own interests. "The decision to host COP29 in Azerbaijan was made with the mutual support of Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is desirable that this pace accelerates and a stable peace is concluded between our countries. But it should happen with the will of both countries, mutual agreement, compromise," he said.
