Foreign giants are moved to the US to avoid Trump customs duties

A number of non-American companies want to strengthen their presence in the United States to mitigate the consequences of the new customs policy of President Donald Trump. Chocolate producers Barry Callebaut, Nissan, Honda, as well as TSMC in Technology, Inventec and Samsung, are the trading giants.

Italian Lavazza and Illy, as well as Swiss pharmaceutical giants Roche and Novartis, have announced a multimillification investment and new factories. Nissan considers Sentra's production from Mexico to the United States, and Hyundai will produce hybrids in the new Giorgia plant in the United States.

Moreover, LVMH, Volvo, Campari and other brands are going to increase local production by protecting their interests from possible customs duties. In particular, LUXshare and Compal intend to move some production in the United States, and LG and Samsung are looking at the production of home appliances from Mexico to USA, Reurters reports.
