NYT. Recent polls show Trump leading in five key states

New polls show that former US President Donald Trump is ahead of current President Joe Biden in five key states, writes The New York Times.

The American newspaper cites the results of a joint poll conducted by Siena College and the Philadelphia Inquirer, according to which Trump is leading in five of six important states: Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania. Biden, for his part, is leading in just one key state, Wisconsin.

The results are largely unchanged from Times/Siena polls in these key states in November. Since then, the stock market has risen 25 percent, Trump's criminal trial has begun in Manhattan, and the Biden campaign has spent tens of millions of dollars advertising in these states.

Polls show cost of living, immigration, Israel's war in Gaza and desire for change continue to weigh on the incumbent president
