In Israel, the shooting incident on the highway was recognized as a terrorist attack

The police classified the shooting incident on the highway near the city of Ashdod in southern Israel as a terrorist attack. According to the police press service, the person killed in this attack was a policeman. A preliminary investigation showed that the attacker entered the highway, shot at a law enforcement officer, and then continued shooting and wounded four more people, after which he was neutralized by a civilian who was carrying a weapon. Previously, the Ynet portal reported on the shooting incident on Highway 4 - one of the longest and busiest intercity routes in the country. It runs from north to south parallel to the Mediterranean coast.
