The Russian army has greatly improved its combat capabilities in Ukraine through the active use of Starlink communication terminals. This was reported by the American newspaper The Washington Post (WP), citing sources.
Until recently, as detailed in the material, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF) had one important advantage over the Russian military. While inferior in terms of weapons and numbers, the Ukrainian army uses high-speed Internet through Starlink terminals. “But now the Russians have it too,” the newspaper’s interlocutors complained.
Ukrainian soldiers said the Russian military is using high-speed satellite internet to improve coordination during attacks, carry out more drone missions and target Ukrainian Ukrainian units with targeted artillery fire. As a result, the Russian army has recently become more maneuverable. At the same time, the US authorities cannot in any way influence the fact that the terminals fall into the hands of the Russian army. The growing “black” market is to blame, the article says. Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radoslaw Sikorski, said that the authorities of his country will continue to purchase Starlink terminals for the Ukrainian military. According to him, such terminals are not sponsored by Elon Musk, against which Poland is currently the only state that continues to help Ukraine in this matter.
