According to Euromedia24, the Civil Contract Party, led by Nikol Pashinyan, will gather in Sevan tomorrow. The party's Political Assembly is planned.
The entire ruling wing will be present: the Prime Minister, the party's board, ministers, deputies, regional governors, and others.
The CP told us what issues will be discussed: issues related to the new parliament, post-election developments, etc.
According to the current CP statute, the Political Assembly is a consultative body. It includes members of the party's board and supervisory commission, deputies who are CP members, members of the government and the Security Council, regional governors, heads of communities and heads of factions in the council of elders, chairmen of regional councils, and members of the party's youth structure.
That is, the Political Assembly is not just a meeting of a narrow circle within the party: a fairly wide range of CP members represented at different levels of government gather around it.
The statute also stipulates that the Political Assembly must convene at least twice a year. It may discuss current and political issues, as well as issues related to the party's participation in the upcoming elections. The session is chaired by the chairman of the CP board or, upon his or her assignment, another member of the board.
One of the last meetings of the political assembly took place on December 27, 2025, in Artashat. At that time, there was already an obvious electoral logic on the party’s agenda: the issues of forming the proportional list of the CP, the electoral strategy, and the activities of the pre-election headquarters ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections were discussed.
The chairman of the CP department, Nikol Pashinyan, and the head of the pre-election headquarters, Arayik Harutyunyan, made reports at the meeting.
This time, the situation is different: the 2026 parliamentary elections have taken place, therefore, the possible agenda of the Sevan meeting becomes especially interesting.
