Biden says he will grant Trump's request for military aircraft

US President Joe Biden said he would honor his predecessor and presidential nominee Donald Trump's request for military aircraft and additional protection in light of alleged threats from Iran. "As long as he doesn't ask for the F-15. I've instructed the department (Defense - ed.) give him everything he asks for, as if he were the sitting president. He will get everything he needs, if it falls into that category, that's fine," Biden told reporters at the White House.

As reported, the Trump campaign requested that flight restrictions be imposed over his homes and rallies for the remainder of the election campaign, and that military aircraft and vehicles be allocated to transport the politician to provide additional security. The requests were sent in connection with information received about the ongoing threat to Trump's life from Iran.

During an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania on July 13, Trump was wounded in the ear, one of the spectators was killed, and two others were injured. The suspect with an assault rifle was hiding on the roof of an industrial building 100 meters from the scene and was eliminated by a Secret Service sniper. The second assassination attempt on Trump occurred on September 15 at his golf club in Florida. According to law enforcement, Secret Service officers opened fire on the intruder, who was hiding in the bushes. The man ran away and tried to escape in a car, but was detained. At the place where he was spotted, an AK-47 assault rifle with an optical sight, two backpacks and a GoPro action camera were found. The FBI has joined the investigation. The US presidential elections will take place on November 5. The Democratic Party will be represented by US Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Republican Party by Trump.
