Russian President Vladimir Putin personally congratulated on the victory in Badha Gunaba's presidential election.

 

"I am glad to see you and I want to congratulate you on your victory, you have received 54.7 percent, with a 70 percent participation, I congratulate you," said the Russian President.

 

Putin clarified that the pre-election campaign in the country was heated and "emotional", but in this case the main thing is that the citizens came and expressed their preferences.

 

The Russian leader also stressed the special nature of the relations between Moscow and Sukhumi and said that the countries will jointly solve the problems and difficulties.

 

Earlier, the Kremlin said that Vladimir Putin congratulated Badra Gunbay on the victory in Badra Gunbay.

 

It should be reminded that the second round of the presidential elections in Abkhazia took place on March 1. Participation was about 70%. The Central Electoral Commission and observers of the republic recorded high-level voter activism.

 

On March 2, the Central Electoral Commission announced the election of Abkhazian President Gunba. He received 56.85% of the total number of votes (without spoiled ballots and "against all", and the second candidate, Adgur Arpression - 43.15%.
