Today, on February 13, a hit-and-run occurred in Vayots Dzor region. At around 19:25, on the 123rd km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, 70-year-old Garunik B., a resident of Vayots Dzor region, drove his Opel Astra car into pedestrians crossing the street in the permitted section, residents of Vayots Dzor region Lusik V., 65, and her son Arman G., 35.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee and took the woman he had hit to the Yeghegnadzor Medical Center with his car, while Arman G. went to the medical center on his own to receive medical assistance.
A criminal investigation has been initiated into the incident at the investigative department.
