Two citizens fell into Yerevan Lake, one of them died


Today, February 11, at around 16:50, the National Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an alarm that two citizens had fallen into Lake Yerevan. This is reported by shamshyan.com.

1 combatant from Yerevan Fire and Rescue Squad No. 1 arrived at the scene.

Before the arrival of firefighters, the employees of Lake Yerevan managed to pull one out of the lake, and the rescuers pulled the second out with great difficulty, but their lives could not be saved.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Shengavit Investigation Department on the basis of the facts of the incident on the grounds of murder.

Police and investigators found out on the spot that the deceased was 68-year-old Gaspar K., a resident of Armavir region, and the survivor was 65-year-old Ashot A., a resident of Yerevan.
