Bärbock threatened Russia with German weapons

In the future, Ukraine will be able to strike deep into Russia, including with German weapons, German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock admitted. Her position is given by the publication Tagesschau. “Berbock does not exclude the possibility that Ukraine <...> will be able to attack military targets in Russia with the help of German weapons,” the publication says.

At the same time, the publication points out that she did not want to publicly say at what distance Ukraine will be able to strike deep into Russia, since this information could play into the hands of the Russian military.
At the end of September, Bärbock advocated the transfer of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv, despite the position of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who had previously repeatedly rejected this proposal. As President Vladimir Putin previously stated, NATO countries are now discussing not just the possible use of Western long-range weapons by Kiev: Essentially, they are making a decision whether to become directly involved in the situation in Ukraine.

At the same time, such direct participation of the West will change the essence of the conflict; Russia will be forced to make decisions based on the threats created for it in this way, he added.
