"The Armenian community of Abkhazia is in danger
As the Abkhaz Armenians claim, the local political opposition is in close contact with Turkish nationalists and Turkey's special services.
The local media report that the Abkhaz oppositionists, considering local Armenians an obstacle to seizing power, are drawing up "black lists" with the support of Turkey and preparing provocations against Armenians, pogroms and violence against Armenians are not excluded.
According to some media, the Armenian community of Abkhazia has already appealed to Armenia to officially address the authorities of Abkhazia with a request to take additional measures to ensure the security of the Armenian community.
According to various data, the number of Armenians in Abkhazia is 41,900 to 67,000 people, or 17.4 to 31 percent of the country's population, respectively.
