The Chancellor of Germany and the President of Azerbaijan met in Davos. According to the Azerbaijani side, the meeting took place at the suggestion of the German side.
The officials discussed the progress of the investigation into the downing of the Azerbaijani plane in Kazakhstan, Baku-Berlin relations, the prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union and other issues.
Olaf Scholz stated that Germany supports efforts to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
