The Foreign Relations Committee of the Upper Chamber of the Swiss Parliament today adopted the resolution to convene an international conference on the return of Artsakh Armenians.
Let's remind that earlier on October 15 of last year, the foreign relations committee of the lower chamber of the National Council adopted this resolution.
After that, the lower house voted in favor of that project. This resolution adopted by the Foreign Relations Committee of the Council of Cantons with 6 votes in favor, 1 against, and 2 abstentions will go to the final stage. At the last stage, the cantonal council will vote.
In case of a positive result, the resolution will become law and the federal council (executive) is obliged to deal with the organization of the conference independently of its will and position.
