Appointing actors Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson and Jon Voight as his representatives in Hollywood, the newly elected US President Donald Trump entered the "fight for the soul of America". Alexey Pushkov, a member of the Federation Council, expressed this opinion on the Telegram channel.
"Hollywood is the main, if not the main, platform for the formation of values in modern America. Trump understands that. The struggle for America's soul is exactly Trump's phrase, "something serious is ahead," the senator wrote, according to Euromedia24.com.
He emphasized that Hollywood stars are used to "excesses and impunity", so Trump's attempt to regulate the processes taking place there will make them worry.
Pushkov also noted that all three new representatives of Trump in Hollywood were not involved in scandals and have conservative views.
