Germany will transfer 60 more missiles to Ukraine for the air defense system

Germany will soon deliver 60 more missiles for IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) to Ukraine, DPA reports.

"Germany will soon provide Ukraine with 60 more missiles for the Iris-T air defense system," the statement said.

According to the agency, the supply will be made from the Bundeswehr's shares and is the result of negotiations by the government of Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Kiev. The total cost of the missiles is about 60 million euros.

Earlier, the German Ministry of Defense announced that Germany will transfer six more IRIS-T surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs) to Ukraine in 2025, as well as about 50 guided missiles for them.

Germany is the second largest donor to Ukraine, second only to the USA.
