The number of victims of the 6.8-magnitude earthquake in the Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China reached 126, and 188 were injured. "Xinhua" agency informs about it.

Earlier, China Central Television reported 95 dead and 130 injured. The 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Tingri County, Shigatsi Region, Tibet Autonomous Region. The source of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There are 3 cities and 27 villages within a radius of 20 km from the epicenter of the earthquake, where about 6.9 thousand people live. After the earthquake, seismologists recorded 49 aftershocks.
