A dictatorship like Belarus is better than a democracy like Ukraine. This was announced by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, while attending the Christmas service at the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Logoisk, BelTA reports.
"Let them say that we have a dictatorship or something else. Listen, a dictatorship like Belarus is better than a democracy like Ukraine. We must confront it. We must not avoid it under any circumstances," said Lukashenko.
On January 6, the press secretary of the Belarusian president, Natalya Eysmont, commenting on the words of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, said that Lukashenko did not apologize to him in the first days of the Russian military operation in 2022.
According to him, Minsk has nothing to apologize for. At the same time, Eismont confirmed that the conversation between the presidents of Belarus and Ukraine in the first days of the conflict actually took place.
