The Israeli army destroyed three armed radicals and detained 18 Palestinians on suspicion of participating in terrorist activities during the operation that started at night in the northern part of the West Bank.
This was reported by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). According to its information, an Israeli serviceman was seriously wounded during a shootout with armed radicals in the northern part of the West Bank, in the village of Talusa near the city of Nablus.
"The serviceman was evacuated to the hospital for further treatment," the press service said.
On January 6, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an assessment of the situation in the West Bank following the killing of three Israelis by unknown assailants on a highway near the settlement of Kdumim, approved a series of additional defensive and offensive measures to ensure
safety in the area.
