US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, is convinced that the world is on the threshold of a third world war."Our planet stands on the threshold of the third world war. And it will be a war unlike any other because of the weapons,” he said, speaking Thursday night at the Republican national convention in Milwaukee. In the speech, which was the culmination of a nationwide party jamboree, Trump agreed to run for the Republican U.S. presidential nomination in November's election."Guns are no longer tanks going back and forth and shooting at each other. They are weapons of destruction,” Trump emphasized. He noted that the world is experiencing an international crisis like it has never experienced before. "War is raging in Europe and the Middle East. The specter of conflict looms over Taiwan, Korea, the Philippines and all of Asia,” Trump added.He claimed he could end all major international conflicts if he became president. “I will end all international crises created by the current administration, including the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine, which would not have started if I were president, and the war provoked by the attack on Israel, which also would not have happened if I were president,” the Republican said.
