The new head of Syria met with Christian clergy

Syria's de facto leader Ahmed al-Sharaa met with high-ranking Christian clerics on Tuesday.

"The head of the new Syrian administration, Ahmed al-Sharaa, met with the delegation of the Christian community of Damascus," the statement of the Syrian General Command, which was published on the department's Telegram channel, says.

The announcement was accompanied by photos of Al-Sharaa's meeting with Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican clergy.

Judging from the published photos, the representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church also participated in the meeting.
