Washington is ready for a constructive and respectful dialogue with the Russian authorities, despite the existing differences. This was stated by US Ambassador to Russia Lynn Tracy.
"The enormous need for diplomatic efforts continues to remain <...> We must continue to maintain existing ties and establish new ones between Russians and Americans. We are also open to a respectful and constructive dialogue with the representatives of the Russian authorities, despite the deep disagreements on many issues," the diplomat said.
The ambassador also expressed hope that solutions for a "peaceful future" will be found in 2025.
Tracy did not mention Ukraine.
