215 children drowned in Russia since the beginning of summer

215 children have died in Russian reservoirs since the beginning of summer, 88 have been saved. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexander Kurenkov, informed about this. "The number of victims is increasing both among adults and children. 1,314 people died as a result of swimming, 215 of them were children," he said. Kurenkov noted that reservoirs attract vacationers in the heat. According to him, however, people forget about the most basic safety measures: they swim in unsuitable places, drive while intoxicated, do not watch children. "We managed to save 358 people from the water, including 88 children," added the minister.
