Ship transit through the Bosphorus Strait is temporarily blocked in both directions due to problems with tankers bound for the Russian Federation, Turkey's Transport Ministry said on Thursday.
"The Bosphorus is temporarily closed for the transit of ships in both directions due to technical problems with the Cordelia Moon tanker, which was traveling from the Turkish port of Yalova to the Russian Federation," the agency said.
The 274-meter-long Panamanian-flagged tanker was on its way to Novorossiysk, according to open data on tracking portals.
