Brazil will support the BRICS common approach to artificial intelligence in 2025

Brazil, during its presidency of BRICS in 2025, will focus on developing common standards among community members to regulate the world of artificial intelligence (AI), said Eduardo Pais Saboia, Secretary of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Asia-Pacific region.

"There is no artificial intelligence governance in the world, although it is being discussed," the diplomat said in an interview with Ag ncia Brasil, calling artificial intelligence a "disruptive technology" in the "era of Brazil's presidency."

In 2025, Brazil also intends to work towards increasing the use of national currencies in the mutual trade of the BRICS countries, looking for new ways to overcome poverty in the world and combat climate change.

Saboya emphasized that the formation of a new multipolar world is no longer possible without the participation of BRICS.

"If you want to make the world more stable and better, the BRICS alliance should become a part of this construction," he said.
