Moscow proposes to dissolve all structures of the OSCE Minsk Group on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue

All structures of the OSCE Minsk Group are subject to dissolution regarding the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh. According to "Armenpress", the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, announced this during the weekly press conference held on December 25.

"All the structures of the Minsk conference, that is, the Minsk group and the position of the OSCE acting representative on the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh, are subject to dissolution. We think that the optimal way to make a relevant decision is the joint proposal of Baku and Yerevan to abolish the mentioned institutions," he noted.

Zakharova emphasized that the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs lost its relevance after Armenia recognized Karabakh as an inseparable part of Azerbaijan as a result of the summit held in Prague on October 6, 2022. The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the IC co-chairs France and the USA stopped contacts with their Russian partners in February 2022.

According to him, everything started with the blocking of the work of that format by Western countries.
