The European Commission will provide Ukraine with 1.5 billion euros from Russia's frozen assets in July

In July, the European Commission will provide Ukraine with 1.5 billion euros in revenue from Russia's frozen assets, and 90 percent of that amount will be used to arm Kyiv. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced this at the international conference dedicated to the recovery of Ukraine. And now we are implementing it within the framework of international law and ensuring the stability of financial markets," said the official. In March, the European Commission proposed to direct 90% of the revenues from frozen Russian assets through the European Peace Fund to the purchase of weapons for Kyiv, and the remaining 10% to the restoration of the country.
