The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, stated during a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan that Moscow and Ankara did everything possible to implement the 2022 Istanbul Agreements on Ukraine, but the West thwarted that agreement. This is reported by TASS.
"At that time, the Istanbul agreement was prepared with joint efforts. "If it were not for the intervention of the West, we would have had all the opportunities to finish that work," Shoigu said. He emphasized that during that time, both Russia and Turkey made every effort to prepare the Istanbul Agreement and ensure its further implementation.
On June 5, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, stated that the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, disrupted the peace agreement signed between Ukraine and Russia in 2022, but today he continues to move freely and hold consultations.
