More than 830,000 Lebanese have left their homes because of the fighting

More than 830,000 Lebanese have been forced to leave their homes due to the conflict between the Hezbollah movement and Israel and the worsening of the situation in the Middle East. This was reported by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Lebanon.

"Since October 8, 2023, there have been 834,746 internally displaced persons, of whom 52% are women and 48% are men," the report said.

The document also states that 189,298 of the displaced are temporarily accommodated in 1,100 shelters, of which 935 or 84% are already fully occupied.

On September 23, Israel launched the "Northern Arrows" operation against Hezbollah forces, during which it carried out large-scale airstrikes on the organization's military facilities in Lebanon. On September 27, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in Beirut.
