The targeting of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church is a largely fruitless process for those who plan it, thank God, so far, the only "result" of which is the transfer of a former priest to the side of the targeters and the "event" called "mass" held in one church. Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan wrote about this.
"There was no division between the episcopal and priestly classes of our Holy Apostolic Church, as well as between the four canonical chairs. Not only has it not decreased, but also, I think, public support for the Mother See has increased, because it is and is positioned not as an exclusively religious, but also a national institution, moreover, it is practically the only one at the pan-Armenian level that maintains the exclusive national-spiritual structure of Artsakh, the diocese in exile.
Does this mean that we should relax and stop working to manage and neutralize existing challenges? Of course not, because the description "Protector of the Fatherland" engraved on the tombstone of Catholicos Neres E. Ashtaraks, who was summed up in St. Etchmiadzin, today refers to the entire Mother See, and the eyes of millions of Armenians are fixed on the cross-light domes of St. Etchmiadzin," he wrote.
