In his speech, the RA Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Gurgen Arsenyan, congratulated those present on the occasion of the Republic's National Day, noting:
"Thirty-three years ago, the Armenian people announced the creation of their state, the Republic of Armenia, through a free expression of will. For thirty-three years we lived, studied and worked, were happy and sad, dreamed and fell in love, built and created on our land under the flag of Armenia, and this is the most wonderful thing that could happen to our generation.

"During the bilateral meeting held within the framework of the CIS Summit, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, stated that in 2024, we expect an increase in the volume of trade between Armenia and Russia to 16 billion US dollars. This is an excellent indicator of the work of our governments.
The Government of Armenia, led by Nikol Pashinyan, has come up with the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative, the implementation of which will radically change the geo-economic landscape of the region, give all interested countries the opportunity to receive economic and logistical benefits, and make the region stable and resistant to modern challenges.
The government of Armenia firmly and persistently pursues the policy of establishing peace with its neighbors, is close to concluding a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, which is undoubtedly an important factor for the development of all the countries of the South Caucasus," Ambassador Arsenyan added.
RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk and Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrey Rudenko also made speeches at the event.
In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia emphasized that the main problem of the Armenian people is not to retreat even one step from the main goal. independence, sovereignty and statehood are the main platform and mechanism for ensuring the safety, freedom and well-being of its own citizens in the internationally recognized territory of the country.
"We are determined to take consistent steps aimed at the further strengthening and development of our country, ensuring the well-being of our people," stressed Deputy Prime Minister Grigoryan.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexey Overchuk, emphasizing the historical role of Armenia in the formation of Eurasian integration, as well as the centuries-old connection of the Armenian-Russian peoples, added:
"We value our alliance and strategic relations with Yerevan. Our leaders have built a reliable dialogue. only in recent weeks, a number of important negotiations have taken place both in Yerevan and in Moscow. And the result of this close cooperation is the volume of trade that characterizes the depth of our countries' relations.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Rudenko, joining the congratulations on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, emphasized the readiness of the Russian Federation to work towards strengthening comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, in accordance with the recent high-level negotiations.
