Norway has extended border controls due to the threat of terrorism

The Norwegian authorities have extended the temporary border control until November 11. This was announced by the head of the Norwegian Ministry of Justice, Emily Enger Mel, TASS quotes.

"Now we are extending the border control for 20 days, but I do not rule out extending it even more. The reason for my decision is the continuing high threat of terrorism..." said the minister.

According to the politician, the threat of terrorist attacks remains "especially against Jewish and Israeli individuals and institutions in Norway".

Temporary border controls were imposed in Norway after incidents in Sweden on October 12, when an Israeli defense company representative office was attacked, and in Denmark, where explosions took place near the Israeli embassy.

In addition, on October 8, the Norwegian police raised the terrorist threat level in the kingdom due to the deterioration of the situation in the Middle East region.
