In Japan, four men died during the sewer tube check

In Japan, four men died while checking the sewer pipes, Japan Today reports. According to the police, they all appeared in a deep manhole. First, one worker fell in, and three tried to save him.

At about 60 cm wide and 12 meters deep leads to a 2.6-meter diameter of an old sewer tube, which was posted in 1981. All four victims are 50-year-old men.

A hydrogen sulfide, poisonous and potential death gas, colorless but sharp smell was found at the place of tragedy. Police now investigate whether it played a role in the death of workers.

In total, there were seven people on the spot, who were drainage works for technical inspection. This inspection was carried out in connection with the Government's instructions, after the incident in Yashio in January 2025, where a huge hole was reached at the intersection. Then the truck fell into a pit, the driver of which was considered missing until May, when his body was found.
