Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said peace in the Middle East is impossible while Israel continues its genocide in the Gaza Strip. At a press conference in Istanbul after negotiations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, he spoke in favor of increasing pressure on Israel to quickly resolve the conflict.
"The genocide committed by Israel in Gaza and the Palestinian territories and the terrorist attacks in Lebanon were an important topic of our discussion. The human tragedy in the region continues. We must do everything possible to ensure a permanent ceasefire and apply the necessary pressure on Israel. Peace is impossible until then "while the massacres continue," Erdogan said. "Over 50 thousand people were killed in the massacre, more than 100 thousand people were injured," the Turkish president noted, adding that Israel is using F-35 fighter jets for attacks. He also stated that Israel was hatching plans to spread the conflict. “Obviously, [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu has thoughts of spreading the war in his mind,” Erdogan said.
