Russia and Ukraine reported shooting down UAVs launched on each other's territory

At night, Russian air defense units destroyed seven drones in Belgorod and Kursk regions. The Ministry of Defense of Russia issued a message about it.

"Over the past night, the Kiev regime stopped the repeated attempts to carry out a number of terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation using aircraft-type drones," the message says.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Russia, seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed and intercepted by the anti-aircraft defense forces, five of them in the Belgorod region, and two in the Kursk region.

And the Air Force of Ukraine reported that at night the Russian forces fired 29 Shahed type attack ATS on the territory of the country. According to the statement of the department, kamikaze drones were shot down in the sky of Odesa, Nikolaev, Poltava and Lviv regions.

In addition, the armed forces of Ukraine reported that an "Iskander-M" ballistic missile was fired at Kharkiv region at night.

May 20 was also declared a day of mourning in Kharkiv region in memory of the 11 victims of the shelling of several villages in the region the previous day.
