"After 2016, I have avoided calling the April war a victory since 2016, as I have compared it to the level of Artsakh at least at the level of the subconscious level.
But now, when I compare with what happened to us in recent years, it is clear to me that the April War was victory.
At that time, we maintained our position, protected Artsakh and did not allow the enemy to change the military-political situation against us.
Looking back, it becomes clear that the April 2016 war, despite his losses, is considered a victory, as it provided Artsakh's defense, and the enemy could not achieve his strategic goals.
That victory was conditioned by the preparedness of the armed forces, by flexible management of the state system, which, unfortunately, was missing due to the dilatence, it was thought, and everything was thought.
In this context, the April war was not only a military but also a moral and political victory for Armenia. It has shown that unity, the right military planning and unity can become the main guarantees of victory.
