The Canadian government opposes Russia's return to the seven group (G7). During the online briefing, the head of the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Melani Jolie said, who is currently in Brussels.
"When the conversation turned into a proposal to include Russia in G7, I said. "Not in any way," said Jolie, that the topic was discussed with its European counterparts.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had called Russia's out of G8 since 2014 after the reunification of Crimea with Russia. He added that it would be glad to see that Moscow returned to the union. Some Canadian politicians have responded to Trump last week's statement.
