In Ukraine, a peacekeeping mission may take more than a decade. The head of the Polish National Security Bureau Darush Lukowski was given such an assessment.
"We are not talking about a month, for six months or a year mission, we talk about the long-term operation, it can take at least one decade, if not longer," Lukowski said.
In his opinion, such a mission will require a lot of effort from Poland and other NATO countries, as well as will greatly affect the security architecture of the Alliance.
"This will have a direct impact on the planning of the Alliance, as these troops are the component of our programs.
If we use them in Ukraine, it will absolutely change security architecture and the readiness of the Alliance's armed forces to respond to threats by traditional method, "Lukowski said.
