Tehran refuses to negotiate with Washington because the US does not understand the language of diplomacy. This was stated by the official representative of the republic’s government, Fatem Mohajerani.
“Negotiations imply conditions, the language of force is not part of the negotiation process, and the declared maximum pressure does not contribute to the negotiations in any way, because they do not understand the language of diplomacy.
The world saw that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed as a result of Iran’s efforts, but everything ended with their unilateral withdrawal,” the government spokesman emphasized during a press conference.
Responding to a question about the possible imposition of new sanctions by Washington against Tehran, Mohajerani noted that the policy of maximum pressure was predictable, and the government has an action plan.
On February 4, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to restore US maximum pressure on Iran. The document, among other things, calls on Washington to intensify efforts to reduce Iranian oil exports.
