The Ohio Fire Department was called to a leak of an unknown substance, which turned out to be hot sauce. According to the local fire department, their crews were dispatched to the highway after receiving reports of an "unknown substance" leaking from the truck.
The driver left the highway and entered a nearby parking lot, where firefighters were preparing for a possible hazardous materials incident. "The unknown liquid was determined to be 40,000 pounds (approximately 18 tons) of Frank's RedHot Hot Sauce," the statement said.
After the incident, social media users started quoting the brand's famous advertising slogan: "I use it in everything."
