Erdogan accuses Israel of breaking Gaza ceasefire promises

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel had broken its promise regarding the recent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, Abu Ubeida, a spokesman for the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, said that the movement had decided to postpone the release of hostages scheduled for Saturday due to “Israel’s failure to fulfill the agreement.”

Among the Israeli violations, Ubeida cited the delay in the return of displaced people in the northern Gaza Strip and problems with the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave.

“As in previous years, we have seen that Israel has not fulfilled its promises regarding the ceasefire. Israel must end its occupation and repair the damage it has caused,” the Turkish leader said at a press conference in Malaysia, without giving specific examples on what his statement was based on.
