US President Donald Trump has announced that he is not against legal immigration to the United States.

“I don’t want our borders to be open, I want strong borders. I want people to come, but they have to come legally. They have to love our country, they have to help,” he said in an interview with Fox News.

Trump has repeatedly advocated for tougher immigration policies in the past.

On January 20, after taking office as president, he signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency on the border with Mexico.
