New details are emerging in the case of Galust Sahakyan's son

Last week, information spread that the former chairman of the State Property Management Committee, RPA member Arman Sahakyan, the son of Galust Sahakyan, was arrested, and he was charged under the article of money laundering of the Criminal Code.

The case refers to the period when Sahakyan was the chairman of the State Property Management Committee, this is actually a continuation of the previous criminal case. According to law enforcement agencies, Sahakyan and 12 other persons "in 2012-2015, under the pretext of re-determining the territories occupied by 3 educational institutions in Yerevan, illegally separated land plots, and in order to hide their criminal origin, the said immovable properties were expropriated to persons related to them through formal auctions."

In the framework of the proceedings, 7 more people were arrested, against whom various measures of disruption were chosen by the court. Thus, Sahakyan and others are accused of abusing official powers and laundering large amounts of money.

According to the information we received, 7 persons involved in this criminal case are former employees of the state property management committee, and some of them are citizens who have dealt with the committee on one or another issue.
