The term genocide was first coined in 1944 by the Polish-Jewish jurist Raphael Lemkin in his book Axis Rule in Occupied Europe.
Lemkin combined the ancient Greek "γένος" (race, nation) and the Latin "-cide" (murder) to describe the systematic destruction of an entire nation or group. In 1948, the United Nations (UN) officially adopted the Genocide Convention, which defines genocide as acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a nation, ethnic, racial or religious group.
And before the legal recognition of the word "genocide", various sources described the Armenian Genocide as "massacres", "slaughter", "ethnic extermination".
And in her words, Nicole questions all those states that have recognized the Armenian Genocide, which is an undeniable fact for billions of people in the world.
