In 2024, the RA Penitentiary Service officially joined EuroPris, the European Organization of Prison and Correctional Services, which has a wide network of best practice exchange, to which penitentiary bodies from 41 member countries of the Council of Europe region are members.
This is reported by the RA Ministry of Justice.
Thanks to the membership, Armenia has also gained access to key resource databases of European prison information and knowledge management systems, having the opportunity to participate in experience exchange processes, to get acquainted with European experience on the spot, and in some cases to receive expert support.
