A severe flood in Saudi Arabia flooded the streets of such holy cities as Mecca and Medina, reports Mash on its Telegram channel.
"After the heavy rains, the roads turned into rivers, the flood washed away the cars," the publication explains.
The Meteorological Department of Saudi Arabia has announced a red alert for Mecca, Medina and the port city of Jeddah, Mash reports. The water reportedly rushed over the normally dry and rocky banks and flooded the towns.
Last October, a devastating flood was recorded in the city of Valencia, Spain, which seriously damaged the city's population and infrastructure.
