"Efforts must be made to search and rescue people and provide medical assistance to the injured," the Chinese leader said.
According to Xi Jinping, China's competent agencies are required to eliminate risks that could lead to a secondary emergency.
He also called for creating optimal conditions for the evacuees and victims.
